Shaun Barrowes

With songs that run the gamut from heartbreaking to inspirational and a host of unforgettable film scores, Shaun "Canon" Barrowes has used his many talents to create musical masterpieces widely recognized by fans of all ages. Shaun versatile style  ranges from contemporary to a big band sound featuring a pop swing ensemble.

After starting his songwriting career as a teenager, Barrowes performed as a top contestant on American Idol, Season 7. After Idol he launched into recording as a singer and pianist with his debute album, Shaun also created the highly regarded tour “Live For Music” which brought in over $300,000 dollars to save music and arts in school, at the same time he wrote and performed the promotional song “Live For Music” which to date has reached well over one million views on YouTube.

Canon began composing and scoring for films in the 2012. The list of movies, TV and commercials he has worked on since then includes Millionaire Matchmaker (Bravo!), Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime), I’ll Always Be Young” Sponsored by Be Young Essential Oils, World Cup 2014 Brazil Theme Song - Golazo - Shaun Canon feat. One Voice Children's Choir and most recently, the track "See You On The Other Side", for the film "Wayward The Prodigal Son" scheduled for an October 2014 release daye.

Shaun’s current project “Songs For Superheroes” includes powerful, dramatic and sometimes-fun scores for film and TV. He is slated to write theme songs for the upcoming Avengers 2, Big Hero 6, Bond 24, Star Wars VII.

Shaun Barrowes upcoming album Songbook Chapter 1, which is the first in a series of new and previously solo piano/vocal recordings of his songs is scheduled for released in 2015. He is also releasing a radio-ready track “Echo Back” Oct 2012 which shows his pop/contemporary vocal and musical skills.

Shaun Barrowes’s many honors include Nominated for an Emmy for his music video Army of Kings, Since then, Shaun received a Platinum AVA award as co-producer of the TV show Vivir Bailando, performed with Greyson Chance and for President George W. Bush, and wrote the theme song for Shadow Complex, the top selling and award winning video game of 2009.
